. and where new york state and new jersey we'll see that rain lift up. washington improving conditions. new york city very heavy rain and very gusty winds. that is part of the problem with this storm and has been since the beginning. we are seeing the swaths of snow but the winds are so strong. in the last three hours 40 mile per hour wind gusts in new york city. so again, the snow cheering out of illinois and indiana but look at what it has left behind. in areas of illinois, 18 inches. in indy, 7 inches, kentucky, 4 inches. and here's what's left of it. the whole storm lifting to the north. upstate and western new york getting 5 to 9 inches of snow. nine to 12 inches in northern new york and the green and white mountains of new hampshire. >> and of course all anybody wants to know is when can we expect to see the weather improve around the country? >> it will. it is going to improve. we are going to watch this move. here is the area of low pressure we are watching. here's the time stamp tonight at 10:00. right on the money. here is where that low pressure is right over washington where is

like new york, like london has, have congestion pricing so it's not a free good. make people who use the car pay for it and tilt the balance of our infrastructure funding using some of those funds to rebuild our public transit infrastructure. as you know, i've traveled into new york all the time and travel into canada all the time. my wife always reminds me to difference of traveling into pearson airport versus the new york, our greatest city in the world, airports. we've got to put a little more money. we know airplanes according to a whole range of recent studies are big economic generators. act on the same plane as our high-tech industry clusters. we need to rebuild our airports, invest in our public transit as well as keeping our roads going. but let's pay for the roads. >> ken, i see you nodding. do you think there are some things that rank higher than other things or should this be done as a portfolio, that there are a lot of things that need to be fixed? richard made a reference to the $2 trillion number to get our infrastructure on a national level up to a reliable point. >>

across new york up into connecticut. his mother's house where she was found dead. only about three miles away, of course, the school. to try to figure out what led him to this spot at that time because they do believe that shortly after murdering his mother, he did drive the few miles from her house to this school and emerge in this parking lot with weapons very much like these to go into the school. now, let's look at the time line of what happened. that's what they're trying to reconstruct. about 9:30 in the morning, that's when we believe based on eyewitness accounts and police radio, that he probably left his car, we think this is the one over here, based on the investigation, and came up to the front of the school. it's also when he encountered his first obstacle. because these security doors were installed to keep people out. police later said the glass had been broken out of these. that's apparently how he got into the school with those weapons. what we know for sure is based on police reports, by 9:36, we had our first calls into the police station saying that shooting was occurr
